2-How to start applying for Dominica Passport?


The first step is to appoint an authorized representative. These agencies are supervised by the government of Dominica and are authorized to send you the citizenship application via investment; as the Citizenship Office of Dominica does not accept direct investment application from individuals.

In second step, contact your authorized and licensed immigration attorney. When you contact the attorney, you discuss all the necessary documents and papers. Your attorney will then complete all your official forms, explains to you the procedure of undergoing medical examinations, the so called Dominica Medical Tests; and, provides you information regarding the required real estate and property ownership documents to serve as certain financial sustainability. All those documents must be in English language, registered and legalized. If you plan to buy a property, you must reserve it via a purchase-sale transaction contract.

The third step is to checking your penal records and police clearance on the ground of the information you have provided. Your file must be checked in terms of your previous records in all countries. A specific department examines your file and you receive a letter via your attorney which informs you your case status. The immigration attorney informs you whether your file is approved or rejected.

The fourth step is to discuss and have an interview in Dominica: When all your forms are completed and all the necessary documents are collected, your immigration attorney will send your file to the Immigration Division of Dominica and your contacts them on your behalf. The immigration attorney answers to all their correspondences and questions. Dominica has no mandatory interview; however, the government might ask an interview to be held as per your conditions.

The fifth step is the certificate payment and issuance. Once your application is approved, the Immigration Division of Dominica will ask you to either invest in the economic fund (donation) or attempt in buying a property. After paying the investment, the Immigration Division of Dominica will issue you the certificate of registration (Certificate of Naturalization), which serves as your citizenship document and your attorney can take actions for the issuance of Dominica Passport for both you and your family. 3-Can I apply for Dominica Passport if my nationality is other than my birth place?


Yes; you may, you are not required to withdraw from your other citizenship; you do not have to live in Dominica in order to keep your citizenship status (dual citizenship is allowed).

4-Who are eligible for Dominica Passport application?


The applicant should be minimum 18 years of old, has good standing personality with clean records without penal conviction and must show financial ability to invest. The citizenship and passport of Dominica will be awarded to you, your legal spouse and your children as well, for lifetime (permanent citizenship).

5-How much is the Dominica Passport?


The price of Dominica Passport differs as per the number of family members and their age. The whole costs include, first, the amount of contribution to Dominica Economic Diversification Fund and the second is the amount of investment in pre-approved real estates; as well as some additional costs for processing fee and files. Some of the costs are payable for both stages and some other costs depends on whether you proceed via contributing to the Dominica Economic Diversification Fund or by buying real estate. The Dominica Economic Diversification Fund supports the public, governmental and private projects in Dominica and is for sectors such as education, health care, sports and tourism. A single person should contribute 100,000 USD to Dominica Economic Diversification Fund; governmental costs not included; however, if he/she is accompanied by the family members, the costs will increase accordingly. 

If you choose to buy real estate, you must keep that real estate for minimum three years and must have permit of the government. The cost for this option is 200,000 USD besides the governmental costs.  Iranian nationals are not currently able to buy real estates; however, as we explained before, fortunately, Ganji Immigration Services has provided the possibility of using the Finance option by the applicants from the Middle East and Asia. The cost for receiving Dominica Passport for a husband and wife with two children will be minimum 175 thousand USD.

6-Do family members receive citizenship and Dominic Passport?


By observing certain conditions, spouse, dependent children (described below), parents, dependent grandparents and siblings can also receive Dominica citizenship. The costs differ as per the number of family members who apply for citizenship.

7- Who can be registered as dependent person in Dominica Passport?

 

Dependent person means:

 
  •  Spouse of the main applicant
  •  Children of the main applicant or the main applicant’s spouse under 18 years’ old

*Fortunately, in the recent amendment in immigration laws of Dominica, the age of dependent children has increased to 30; which is a good news for those who plan to have their children to the age of 30 with them in their immigration file and receive passport of Dominica for them as well.

* The child of the main applicant or the main applicant’s spouse, who is over 18 with physical or mental complications and is financially depended on the main applicant or the main applicant’s spouse.

* Parents or grandparents of the main applicant or the main applicant’s spouse who are financially depended on the main applicant or the main applicant’s spouse.

* The spouse of a person who is a dependent of the parents or grandparents   and   is financially depended on the main applicant or the main applicant’s spouse.
*Biological Siblings or legally adopted child of the main applicant in 18-25 years old range who is single, has no child and financially is depended on the main applicant or the main applicant’s spouse.

*Biological siblings or the legally adopted child of the main applicant or the main applicant’s spouse, under the age of 18 who is single, has no child and financially is depended on the main applicant or the main applicant’s spouse and holds the letter of consent of his/her parents and siblings for taking actions via this program. 
Note:
- Child means the biological or legal child.
- Child means an individual in the age of 18 to 30; that is, a 30-year old person can be included in this file but a 31-year old will not.
